Wood Types and Prefinish Options

Simple beauty can be found in Pella’s Demesne Cherry, American White Oak, Mahogany and Rustic Walnut wood entry doors. Note the natural textures, colors and graining patterns; they give Pella’s doors their characteristic charm — and make each door as distinctive as its owner. No two doors are alike.

Wood Entry Door Prefinish Stain Options
Pella's exclusive factory staining process for our wood entry doors consists of three main steps that work together to give you outstanding beauty and protection:

1) Translucent stain pigments give you the color desired, while allowing all the natural character and beauty of the wood to shine through.

2) A wood sealer is applied to seal off the grain, allowing for better protection and a great foundation for superior topcoat adhesion.

3) Multiple layers of an exclusive two-part clear topcoat are applied, providing excellent weather- and UV-resistance.
